The Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP), as the market operator of the Philippine Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), gives notice that Cebu Energy Development Corporation has notified IEMOP on 28 November 2023 that it shall deregister the CEBUEDC Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant Units 2 and 3 as ancillary service facilities in the Reserve Market . In view of this, IEMOP deemed that its WESM Membership registration as an Ancillary Service Provider (ASP) will also be ceased as a result of the deregistration of both of its ancillary service facilities.
IEMOP has confirmed the cessation of the Cebu Energy Development Corporation’s membership as Ancillary Service Provider to be effective on 12 January 2024. This notice is being issued pursuant to WESM Rules clause 2.6.3.
